Collection: Simeon Gonzales
Simeon Gonzales is a Peruvian-American artist who was born in Lima, Peru in 1977. He later moved to the United States and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
Gonzales is known for his abstract paintings that feature bold, vibrant colors and gestural brushstrokes. His work often explores themes of identity, memory, and the relationship between the individual and the natural world.
Gonzales has exhibited his work in solo and group shows in galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in Santo Domingo, the Brooklyn Museum, and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana, Cuba.
In addition to his studio practice, Gonzales is also a professor of fine arts at Parsons School of Design in New York City.
